Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Zukiswa Madikizela has paid tribute to her sister, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, by pleading for women to be more active in their respective communities.
"Women of the world, I would like to encourage you to act and help you fellow communities in any way you can. Our sister is proof that we can be revolutionaries," said Madikizela at her older sister's funeral in Soweto on Saturday.
Madikizela pleaded for women across the country to continue Mam' Winnie's fight against oppression and the struggles women are facing every day.
Thousands have gathered at Orlando Stadium to pay tribute to the woman known as the mother of the nation.
"We are capable of being leaders with impact, we are capable of bringing change in a society that constantly tells women: no you can't."
Mam' Winnie died at the Milpark hospital in Johannesburg on 2 April.
