Gauteng police have launched a manhunt following a shooting during which a nine-year-old boy was killed in Midrand in broad daylight on Tuesday afternoon.
The mother had just picked up her two children from school when they were attacked by two armed men who opened fire at them in their moving car.
The 41-year-old mother was rushed to hospital where she remains in critical condition, while her 13-year-old daughter escaped unharmed.
