Your job is to look after all of us, Cele tells SONA officers

Police Minister Bheki Cele has told officers deployed in Cape Town for Thursday’s State of the Nation Address they need to ensure the safety of all South Africans.
Cele addressed a parade consisting of SAPS, SANDF, and provincial and national traffic management officials at the Castle of Hope on Thursday morning.
The officers have been deployed to secure the State of the Nation Address.
Cele reminded the officers that their first priority should be the safety of all South Africans.
"Your job is to look after South Africans, starting with the first citizen that is in this city today and almost everybody that's coming to your city.
“When they come to you as a member of the law enforcement and say I am scared, your job is to protect that person. It doesn't matter who you are; drop everything and take care of that person, especially women and children.
“You are there to ensure the safety of all South Africans. Therefore, you are called upon not to join any form of criminality," said Cele.
