Zandpsruit residents take to the streets
Updated | By Maryke Vermaak
Residents of Zandspruit, west of Johannesburg gathered on Wednesday morning to march against the lack of services in the area.
The march was organised by community leaders and was aimed at highlighting the lack of electricity to households.
Roads were being closed as community members gathered early on Wednesday.
The Zandspruit area was at the centre of violent protests last month which were sparked by Eskom's removal of illegal connections.
During clashes, teargas and rubber bullets were fired.
