Zuma praises black pioneers, says more can be done
Updated | By Samkelo Maseko
President Jacob Zuma believes the youth can achieve so much more than the previous generation, if government plays a supportive role.
The President addressed the Black Business Pioneers Gala Dinner in Sandton last night.
President Zuma praised black business pioneers, saying they are part of the struggle to liberate South Africans from poverty.
Zuma says black people can open up businesses everywhere - and not just butcheries and corner shops.
He wants black people to venture into manufacturing and own big factories.
"We have to give practical meaning to the pledge we made during our struggle for liberation hat we will never consider our mission complete and our liberation achieved if the people of our country are still not free from economic exclusion," Zuma said.
