The Sharks, playing purely for pride after having their quarter-final hopes dashed, take on the Scarlets in Wales on Friday evening to kick off the action for the South African sides.

The Bulls, currently fourth on the log, will have a tough task at Loftus against the Ospreys on Saturday afternoon, while the Lions face third-placed Munster in Johannesburg at 5 pm.

The sixth-placed Stormers need a win when they face Leinster, the top team on the log, just after 7 p.m. in Cape Town.

The Bulls will be wary of Ospreys after the Welsh outfit surprised the Stormers with a 27-21 victory in Cape Town last week but will be hellbent on making up for their first home defeat of the season last week.

However, with Munster facing the Lions and Leinster taking on the Stormers in South Africa, the Bulls will be hoping that their domestic counterparts do them a favour as they continue to hunt a spot in the top two for a home quarter-final and possibly a home semi-final.

The Lions, meanwhile, will be determined to build on their morale-boosting 44-12 victory against Leinster when they take on Munster in Joburg, and will enter the match well aware of the importance of a victory to possibly power their way back into the top eight.
