Golfer vs Alligator - no contest
Updated | By Trevor Cramer
Watch how American golfer Cody Gribble takes things in his stride when he walks past a sunbathing alligator on a fairway.
American golfer Cody Gribble wasn't having the best day at the office in the opening round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge.
He was four over par through the first five holes and heading towards his ball on the sixth fairway when he stumbled upon an alligator casually basking in the sunshine at the edge of a water hazard.
Nothing to Gribble, he turned 'gator hunter' and just calmly approached the feared beast, tapped it on it's tail and watched as the reptile just took the path of least resistance and slithered back into the water.
Matthew Fitzpatrick fired a bogey-free five-under-par 67, to tie for the lead with Argentina's Emiliano Grillo after the first round.
