Ghana to fine airlines transporting unvaccinated passengers

Ghana airport has announced that they will fine airlines over R56,000 for each passenger they bring into the country that has not been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Ghana's main international airport will fine airlines over R56,000 for every passenger they fly in that has not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or who tests positive for the virus upon arrival.
The rule comes into effect on Tuesday at Kotoka International Airport in the capital Accra.

People arriving in Ghana must be fully vaccinated, show a negative PCR test, and fill in a health declaration form.
People who are not Ghanaians or holders of valid residency permits could be turned away if they don't meet the requirements. The airline will have to foot the bill.
