Warning: South African hijacking hotspots revealed

The latest hijacking hotspots have been released by Tracker. It might be an area close to you.

Hijacking is taking over in South Africa. It has become a daily crime and drivers are unsafe on the roads.
Tracker released new information about the most common hijacking hotspots in South Africa.
According to Tracker, Gauteng suburbs are most affected by hijackings. The areas with the most hijackings are Kensington, Arcadia, and Eldorado Park.

The vehicle theft hotspots are the Pretoria CBD, Arcadia, and Sunnyside.
In the Western Cape; Philippi, Khayelitsha, and Maitland emerged as the highest risk areas for hijackings.
Hijackings are most common on Fridays in South Africa.
Data showed that most hijackings take place on a Friday between 11h00 and 13h00, followed by 20h00 to 23h00.
