Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson buys a house for African UFC fighter
The actor and former pro wrestler is known for his selfless good deeds, but this one takes the cake.
Themba Gorimbo is a Zimbabwean mixed martial arts fighter with an inspirational story.

He has been working hard to make his UFC fighting dreams a reality, but like many of these stories, he has had his struggles along the way.
At the start of 2023, Gorimbo tweeted that he had only $7 in his account:

While many considered his story a true tale of triumph, one pretty major celebrity related to his story in a very surprising way.

Dwayne Johnson, better known as 'The Rock', might be a multimillion-dollar star, but when he saw this Tweet he responded by sharing how he found Gorimbo's story very similar to his own.
In his response to the tweet he also mentioned helping Gorimbo - and he definitely kept his promise.
In the video below, Gorimbo shares that he has been sleeping on a couch and using money he has earned to help his community back in Zimbabwe.

Johnson decided to visit Gorimbo, but he did not come empty-handed:
Gorimbo has even said that since he now has a home, he is going to use the money he had been saving to buy a house to instead help his community by building another borehole in his village.
There's nothing like a wholesome, feel-good story like this to remind us that there are still lots of incredible humans out there.
