Elton John shares heartbreaking tribute to Princess Diana

It has been 25 years since the passing of Princess Diana. Close friend and singer Elton John shared a moving tribute to the People's Princess.

On Wednesday, millions around the world mourned the 25th anniversary of the sad passing of Princess Diana.

Diana, the Princess of Wales, died in a horrific car crash on 31 August 1997.
Diana, who was just 36 when she died, remains widely revered as a fashion icon and for having cut through stuffy royal convention, particularly after her very public divorce.

She was also praised for charity work highlighting the scourge of landmines and encouraging a change in attitude to people with HIV/AIDS.
Legendary singer, Elton John, who performed 'Candle In The Wind/Goodbye England's Rose' at her funeral, paid a moving tribute to his close friend.
"You will always be missed," John wrote on Instagram.
