When it comes to respect, it's a two-way street.

The customer isn't always right but as a business owner, there are some things you just can't do.

Unless you want to ruin your business and possibly your life.

One restaurant owner and chef has gone viral for all the wrong reasons after a customer shared the shocking exchange he had with her.

The story has captivated people for days as everyone is trying to stay up to date and see how this all plays out.

Trevor Chauvin-DeCaro was planning a trip to Boston and had made a reservation at a restaurant called 'Table' owned and run by chef Jen Royle.

After suffering a medical emergency and ending up in hospital, Trevor had to cancel his Boston trip, which included the Table reservation.

What he did not expect was a scathing Instagram DM sent to him by Jen Royle.

The saga started with Trevor sharing screenshots of their exchange on X, mentioning that he was absolutely shocked that Royle had tracked him down to send him such an angry message.

But it doesn't stop there.

Apparently, Royle was not ready to let it go, and try to move on but instead kept replying to Trevor with equally rude messages while he was trying to explain the situation to her repeatedly:

While this conversation was taking place, both parties were sharing screenshots and accusatory posts on their social media profiles, including Instagram and X.

That was until social media detectives found this tweet from Trevor which could be proof that he didn't go to Boston because of a train delay and not because he was hospitalised.

Trevor did, however, explain the situation:

Finally, Trevor revealed that Royle was going to take legal action:

Most people have sided with Trevor, agreeing that Royle's behaviour has been absolutely embarrassing.

As it turns out, this is also not the first time Royle has lost her temper when interacting with clients:

It seems like the situation has de-escalated and both parties have gone silent.
