But having to say goodbye to someone you have spent seven years of your life with is a pain like any other.

Whether you are the one being broken up with or doing the breaking, the hurt is going to linger for a while.

A woman on TikTok who goes by Rachel, @self_daily_love, has been documenting her healing journey after she broke up with her boyfriend of seven years.

However in her most viewed video (with 18-million views) she shows a bag with hearts on with the caption “I dumped him after 7 years and he gave me this gift”.

In the video, she unwraps the gift and shows the message on the card.

Viewers have since commented on the video showing their clear disapproval of the gift and card.

In some of her other videos, Rachel mentioned that she had loved her partner more than she had loved herself.

She also said that ironically, the book has in fact helped her on her healing journey but that it’s still too late for her and her old partner.

The commentators did not hold back and mentioned that she should burn the book and that her ex was trying to manipulate her and practice some sort of reverse psychology.

One person said that she should burn it and this was her response:

No one, including Rachel, might ever know what her ex’s intentions were but luckily that’s not stopping her from living her life.
