VIDEO: Passenger films the horror as helicopter crashes

A passenger filmed the horrific moment the helicopter he was in crashed on a mountain in Kyrgyzstan.

The incident took place in 2018 but the footage was only recently released. 

The video shows the horrifying scene unfold from inside the aircraft. Although no one died, four people were left with life-threatening injuries, including one woman who was left paralyzed from the chest down. 

A student who was on board the helicopter with eight other tourists caught the horrific accident on his GoPro. Apparently, the plane crashed when the pilot had trouble landing the aircraft at a base camp on the Khan Tengri mountain in July 2018.

The student who filmed the crash has been identified as a 22-year-old man named David from Berlin. He shared the horror story with MailOnline

He told MailOnline: 'The panic set in when I felt the stinging of kerosene around my feet as my shoes were being drenched in it and the fear of being burnt alive at any second made me struggle even harder.'
