A video shared by SA Long Distance Truckers shows an attempted hijacking at a mall.

In the video, a man explains that a black Avanza carrying thieves spotted their next victims at a mall and made their move.
The robbers surrounded the care and threw the occupants out of their vehicle before attempting to escape out of the front entrance.
All the security at the mall were alerted and even the car guards confronted the thieves and apprehended them.

According to the man in the video, two of the thieves were arrested, but the driver in the black Avanza managed to escape.
