Attempted Pretoria hijacking ends in embarrassment for hijackers
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
An attempted hijacking at the Woodlands Lifestyle Estate had an embarrassing end for the would-be criminals.
It is always a good day when justice is handed down swiftly. Whether that justice comes in the form of law enforcement or savvy citizens who fight to keep themselves safe, it is heartwarming to see things going right.
When it comes to hijackings, people don't often come away from the situation with a positive story to tell. But for one Woodlands Lifestyle Estate resident, the attempt by criminals to steal his car ended in his favour.
Footage posted by Intelligence Bureau SA shows an SUV pulling up to the gates at the estate, followed closely by a sedan. Two occupants of the sedan jump out and run towards the SUV. Seconds later, they are seen sprinting back to their car. The driver of the sedan, sensing danger, drives away before even letting his accomplices back into the vehicle.
It is unclear what the driver of the SUV used to scare the hijackers away, but the speed with which they sprinted back to their getaway car means they will think twice before attempting anything at the same place again!

There is no word on whether the hijackers were tracked down or not.
