The book was written to praise people with freckles.

“Some people think freckles are strange, while I happen to disagree, because if I didn’t have my freckles, then I would not truly be me!" reads a page from the book.

On Tuesday, the 14th Librarian of Congress, Carla Hayden, shared this fact with her social media followers with photos of the book.

Social media users described Markle as "intelligent", "brilliant", and "incredible" after Hayden shared this interesting fact.

Markle's latest book, 'The Bench', inspired by Prince Harry and their son Archie's relationship, is a New York Bestseller.
