Pretoria Boys High School allows gay couple to attend matric dance
You shared your kid's matric dance moments with Rian van Heerden but he didn't expect this memory to make such an impact.
Matric dance season is upon us and children around the country are preparing for their special day.
Rian wanted to share in these special moments with you and asked the Scenic Drive listeners to share a few photos with him but on specific photo caught his attention.
A mom from Pretoria shared a photo of her son who is currently in matric at Pretoria Boys High School. The picture was a typical matric dance photo with the couple looking dashing in their outfits however they were a same-sex couple.

Rian shared this beautiful moment with the #ScenicDrive listeners on Facebook and spoke to Josh who went to the dance with his partner Ryan. Josh also revealed that this is the first time in the history of Pretoria Boys High School that they allowed a same-sex couple to attend the matric dance together.
The story has since been picked up by a number of news publications that have commended the gents on their bravery and bold move.
