In 2007, Dube was diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2015/6, cancer returned, but the South African icon has not let her battle with cancer get her spirits down.  In January Dube joined the Scenic Drive to share more about love, her journey with cancer while working in the entertainment industry.

"Cancer took its toll on me, but I am back with a bang with Soul City. I am so happy to be back. I still want to do a lot of things - I still want to do more comedy and laughter is medicine," she told the team.

When asked how she is dealing with cancer she said, "I'm not sure if I'm okay but I take it day for day."
