Isaac Marquez is 32 years old, and was born with Downs Syndrome. The fact of his diagnosis has never held the New Mexico native back, and it is this determination that propelled him into the MMA ring this week. 

While Isaac could not be legally entered into an MMA bout, he did have the advantage of being good friends with Diego Sanchez, a popular MMA fighter in the region.

Diego organised an exhibition bout between himself and Isaac, and this was how Isaac was able to fulfill his wish of stepping into the MMA ring in front of the heavyweights.

Diego says he wanted to do whatever he could to make sure his friend Isaac lived a healthy, fulfilled life.
