Raising funds to help a brother and sister hear again
Brother and sister, 8-year old Corban and 7-year old Samantha are both in the Transoranje School for the Deaf.
They are just like any other brother and sister - they just speak differently - with their hands. They communicate quite easily with one another ... the challenge in their home is that both their parents: Tanya and Johan are virtually blind!
Both children are good candidates for cochlear implants - which will restore their hearing and enable them to learn to speak. The only issue with this is the astronomical cost! Tanya and Johan and their parents have now organised a fundraising event at Stone Cradle on 19 September . We are asking you to help this family.
