Millions stolen at OR Tambo, but we get stopped for this?
A sophisticated robbery at the OR Tambo International Airport has us
scratching our heads.
One can’t make it out of the airport without paying your parking ticket, yet a group of well-informed robbers managed to get away with millions!
A gang of robbers posing as police officers had gained access to a restricted section of the airport and fled with 27 parcels of foreign currency.
The suspects had even been travelling in a bogus police bakkie, kitted with sirens and blue lights, officials say.
South Africans are reeling in shock and say they’ve been stopped at the airport for the strangest of things.
