A human airbag to help protect the elderly if they fall

Now this is innovation we can get behind!
We look to technology for many things in life, sometimes it's for the best and other times not so much.
We think this tech company got it right when they announced their unique inflatable jacket. It is similar to a car airbag and was designed with the elderly in mind.
Elderly people are prone to falling and when you get older, that generally entails breaking something.
So, the wearable jacket basically blows up as soon as the person wearing it falls to the ground. It inflates and the airbags serve to take the pressure off the fall.
Check out the video below explaining the dynamics.

People have had some mixed views, but some were very positive about the invention and what it would have done for their elderly family members.
evelynpmta: "Why is wrong with these people? This invention is not stupid at all, its a life changer. My grandma passed away months ago cause she had weak feet and keeps falling most of the time. If i found out this invention back then, ill def buy one for her asap."
irisisgoogling: "My grandfather passed away because he got pneumonia as a result of falling and breaking his hip. This could be life saving for so many people. Also… what in the world is going on in these comments?"
