It is a fact that many of us take our health and well-being for granted. The truth is that it is only truly appreciated when you don't have it.
Or when there is a risk of you losing it. For some, there is no choice in the matter. And they have to adapt their lives to suit their new way of living.
For one young girl, Nestayha, a seven-year-old from Wajir in Kenya, it was adapting to life without her hearing.
Nestayha lost her hearing at a young age, as a result of an illness which caused her eardrums to rupture.
In the video, we see who we assume to be a medical professional inserting the hearing aid for her.
As she tries to sit still, she is watched by many people.
Once completely inserted, some people start to clap and she smiles.
That smile is what will stay with us and is a reminder to always be grateful for what you have in life.
