KPMG South Africa's CEO Trevor Hoole is not only an avid listener of The Complimentary Breakfast, but equally excited to be on Nelson Mandela Bridge for The Sun International CEO SleepOut™: “I was persuaded to do it last year, one did feel it was a worthwhile investment; I am thrilled to be a part of it, I’ve got one of my young executives Sipho Malaba (who) will be joining me.”
Prior to his current role as CEO, Trevor was previously the Industry Leader of KPMG Southern Africa’s Financial Services Practice.
He had been a Partner in the Firm’s specialised Financial Services Practice since the early 90's with extensive retail and investment banking experience with specific emphasis on risk management and asset based financing entities.
Trevor's portfolio included due diligence and structured financing experience as well as significant exposure to retail impairment modeling, particularly in the home loan and credit card arenas. He served on various institute committees and community associations and has a good working knowledge of the statutory, and regulatory standards relevant to the financial services sector which in South Africa is now contemplated by the Twin Peaks approach.
Trevor has also previously been the Head of the Firm’s Technical and Training activities, as well as the Head of Marketing & Communications and Human Resources Divisions. He is married with 4 children, enjoys playing golf, watching cricket and football.
