The weirdest way to fix your phone if you've dunked it in water?

Phones fall into water all the time. Getting them fixed can be a costly affair, but for those who prefer to get things fixed by themselves, blow-drying your phone or putting it in rice is probably the best way you have been told to go about it?

Although those methods work, we have found out that there is another weird way of fixing your phone and it has to do with cat litter. So, apparently you take all of the water out of the phone, air-dry the phone, then put it in a bag of crystal kitty litter for as long as possible, reports Metro.

The method was proven to work by Phone company Gazelle. “We tested six common household materials to see which could absorb the most water from a wet sponge in 24 hours: cat litter, couscous (pearl), classic rolled oatmeal, instant oatmeal, instant rice, silica gel (crystal kitty litter), uncooked rice,” Gazelle wrote on its site.

To their surprise, cat litter even tops the rice method. “Rice is most definitely not king. Dry, uncooked conventional rice was the worst of the seven options we tested. It absorbed the least water in 24 hours, losing out to silica gel, cat litter, couscous, instant oatmeal, classic oatmeal and instant rice,” it said.

Well, there you have. Forget rice, and give this method a try.
