Need baby name inspiration? Listen to these Taylor Swift songs...
Taylor Swift is often recognised as one of the best songwriters of all time.
Her songs, which are sometimes inspired by her relationships, take you on a rollercoaster of emotions.
But while Swifties are dissecting the meaning of every lyric in every song, we're taking note of all the cute names mentioned - you know, for future baby names.
Here's a look at some of our favourites.
Summer from 'Cruel Summer'
We're starting off strong with a cute name inspired by a song from Taylor's 2019 album, 'Lover'. 'Cruel Summer' was released as an official single in 2023 and peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending 54 weeks on the chart.
According to The Bump, "Summer is a girl's name of British origin that signifies the beauty of the sought-after season. Reminiscent of relaxing days, gentle breezes, and ambient light, this could be the perfect name for a little one who arrives during the warmer months".

Ivy from 'Ivy'
'Ivy' is a song on Taylor's 'Evermore'. The track is about a married woman in love with another man. It's a beautifully written song that tugs at the heartstrings. Scandalous affair aside, Ivy is a cute name favoured by many people. You can add a little twist like Beyoncé, who named her eldest daughter Blue Ivy.
According to BabyCenter, Ivy was the 30th most popular name so far in 2024.
"The name Ivy has English and Latin origins and means "vine." It's derived from the Old English word for the ivy plant, "ifig." Ivy also has roots in ancient Greek culture as a sign of fidelity. Greek couples were often given wreaths of ivy as symbols of eternity and faithfulness."

Willow from 'Willow'
The 'Evermore' album tracklist also features the songs 'Dorothea' and 'Marjorie'. However, Willow has to be one of our favourite names for a baby girl. Will Smith's daughter is named Willow.
"The name Willow is of English origin and means "willow tree" and "freedom." It was derived from the Old English word welig, meaning 'willow'," Family Education states.

Inez from 'Betty'
The children of Taylor's close friends, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, inspired this name. Inez is a name mentioned in Taylor's song 'Betty'. Inez and Betty are the names of two of Ryan and Blake's children.
"You heard the rumours from Inez / You can't believe a word she says most times," Taylor sings on 'Betty'. Ryan and Blake's daughter, James, also gets a mention in the song.
She said, "James, get in, let's drive".
According to The Bump, "Inez is a girl's given name of Portuguese origin. It is derived from the Latin name, Agnes, meaning "pure" or "chaste," and is commonly used throughout Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries."

Este from 'No body, No crime'
Este is a cute name for couples looking for a unique moniker for their baby girl. Este is mentioned in Taylor's song, 'No Body, No Crime'.
Taylor sings:
Este's a friend of mine
We meet up every Tuesday night for dinner and a glass of wine
Este's been losin' sleep
Her husband's actin' different and it smells like infidelity
She says, "That ain't my Merlot on his mouth
That ain't my jewelry on our joint account"
No, there ain't no doubt
I think I'm gonna call him out

According to BabyCenter, "The name Este means 'star' and has wide-ranging origins. Este is a variation of the French name Estelle, which is itself a variation of "stella," the Latin word for 'star'."

Clara Bow from 'Clara Bow'
Taylor's latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', also features songs with some pretty cool names. 'Clara Bow' is track 16 on the album. The song, named after silent film actress Clara Bow, has a deep meaning.
“I used to sit in record labels trying to get a record deal when I was a little kid. And they’d say, ‘you know, you remind us of…’ and then they’d name an artist, and then they’d kind of say something disparaging about her, ‘but you’re this, you’re so much better in this way or that way.’ And that’s how we kind of teach women to see themselves, as like you could be the new replacement for this woman who’s done something great before you,” Taylor told Amazon Music.
“I picked women who have done great things in the past and have been these archetypes of greatness in the entertainment industry. Clara Bow was the first ‘it girl'," she added.
Clara works as a name on its own but Clara Bow is just as cute as a combo. If Nara Smith can name her kids Rumble Honey, Slim Easy, and Whimsy Lou, you can certainly name your daughter Clara Bow.
