IEB pupils shine
The Independent Examinations Board is celebrating a slightly improved pass rate this year and learners are ecstatic with their results.
The country's private schools achieved a pass rate of 98.67%.
The results were officially released at midnight.
IEB CEO, Anne Oberholzer, says there's an improvement in the number of candidates who achieved bachelor's degree passes.
Just over 11022 full-time and 703 part-time candidates from 237 examination venues across Southern Africa wrote the IEB National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations in October and November 2016.

Pupils from the Eastern Cape have come out tops with many making it into the top 5 percent of the country's top achievers in five of their subjects or more.
