12 dead after taxi crashes into donkey, truck

Twelve people have died in a horrific crash on the N1 in Limpopo.
Limpopo health department spokesperson Thabiso Teffo says three people were seriously injured.

“Emergency medical services responded to a fatal accident on the N1 in Botlokwa. A taxi hit a donkey, lost control and collided with a truck." says Teffo

Friday morning the Limpopo Transport department confirmed that the death toll has risen.
" 11 people died on the scene and another person in hospital. Of the three passengers that were transported to hospital, one succumbed to their injuries" says the department's Allen Matsina
