Four people are in a critical condition in hospital after they were caught up in a fire at Rivonia Village shopping complex on Rivonia Road on Saturday.

In total eight people were injured in the blaze.
"One critically injured patient was airlifted to hospital,” says ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring.
Spokesperson for Johannesburg Emergency Services, Nana Radebe, says the fire broke out at a restaurant and quickly spread to eight other shops.
"We have done preliminary investigations and found that a gas bottle that exploded was responsible for starting the fire.
"At the moment the area is safe and it has been cleared."
