Speaking to the media at a press briefing, the league said they will march to the minister's office and treasury.

The youth league said Pravin Gordhan must not distance himself from ANC policies.

The league's President Collen Maine says it's unfortunate that ANC deployees don't want to implement ANC conference resolutions.

"Our minister of finance is quick to make a statement in front of cameras, saying free education is not possible. He is a deployee of the ANC and he knows the resolution of the ANC," Maine said.

He added that the youth league will continue to advocate for free education, as it is a policy resolution of the ANC.

"We are not fighting Pravin Gordhan. We must continue to advocate for that because it affects the youth."
