Angry Glen Marais residents demand answers at substation

Some 100 frustrated Kempton Park residents marched to Glen Marais substation on Friday to demand answers after spending the past six days without power.
Several suburbs in Kempton Park were left in the dark after an explosion at the Glen Marais substation on Saturday.

The city initially said power would be restored by Tuesday, but some residents are still without electricity.
Kempton Park resident Louis Rossouw says nobody has been able to give them answers.
Rossouw said a technical worker was sent to speak to them but did not know when lights will be back on.

"The main guy is inside but he doesn't want to come and speak with the people. There's no big shot or nothing to help the people out."
Rossouw says power was meant to be restored by midnight last night.
Meanwhile, Head of Energy in Ekurhuleni Mark Willson says they have attended to last customers and power is expected to be back up at 1 pm on Friday.
