Bathabile Dlamini vows to ‘one day tell my story'
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
The Minister of Women in the Presidency, Bathabile Dlamini, says when the time comes, she will tell her story.
Dlamini was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of her briefing at the launch of this year’s 16 Days of Activism campaign in Pretoria.
She refused to comment on the possibility that she could face charges of perjury following a damning Constitutional Court judgment against her.
The highest court in the land ordered her to personally pay 20% of the costs incurred during the Social Security Agency of South Africa (Sassa) social grants debacle during her tenure as Minister of Social Development.

Despite widespread calls for her removal, Dlamini survived President Cyril Ramaphosa’s cabinet reshuffle this week.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) has also launched a legal challenge to force Ramaphosa to remove her.
The Presidency, however, indicated this week that it would oppose the DA’s application on a matter of principle.
Dlamini accused journalists of “abusing her” when asked questions about her continued presence in the cabinet, but vowed to tell her story when the right time comes.
