DA accuses Ramaphosa of ‘flip-flopping’ on accommodation, travel

The Presidency tweeted on Friday that provincial travel was allowed only to later delete the tweet and confirm that it was not the case.

The DA’s Manny De Freitas believes the president has been playing the role of an observer throughout the pandemic.

“The tweet was quite exciting to see… but then it was retracted then suddenly they said it wasn’t the case which caused even more confusion.

“It appears that Ramaphosa seems to be an observer watching all this instead of the president of the country.”

Ramaphosa is expected to update the nation on Sunday on measures to curb the impact of Covid-19.
