Dali Mpofu's term on JSC comes to an end

Advocate Dali Mpofu's term on the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has come to an end.
Mpofu served on the JSC as a candidate for Advocates for Transformation (AFT).
Mpofu served two terms, representing the AFT on the JSC when he was elected in 2017 and re-elected in 2019.
“At its AGM held in Bloemfontein in June 2017, AFT took a resolution that its candidate that would serve on the JSC (through the General Council of the Bar) for a term of 2 years, further that such a candidate could serve for a maximum of two terms subject to the decision of the AGM,” says AFT chairperson Myron Dewrance.

“On 10 February 2022, the Advocates of Transformation National Executive Committee noted that the term of office of Advocate Dali Mpofu SC as representative of AFT via the General Council of the Bar at the Judicial Services Commission had expired.”
Advocates for Transformation says it is looking for a candidate to succeed Mpofu.
