Final matric exams kick-off
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The 2016 matric final exams kick off in earnest this week - with more than 677 000 full-time candidates across the country registered.
The basic education department says all nine provinces are ready, with security in place.
Authorities are also keeping a close eye on areas such as Vuwani in Limpopo, where protests earlier this year led to more than 20 schools being torched or damaged.
Clinical Psychologist, Melissa Boulind, has called on Grade 12 learners to get into a healthy routine.
"Try not to do all night study sessions. If you find that you can't sleep, turn the radio on. Try and do some exercise, go for a walk, take some time out, go to gym. If you haven't already got a study timetable or a routine, it's time to create one," she says.

All the best to the matriculants of 2016!
