Gas pipeline leak in Springs

Ekurhuleni Emergency Management Services has confirmed a gas pipeline leak in Springs.

The incident happened on Tuesday night on Springs on West Road & Vlakfontein Road Wright-Park.
The incident led to road closures in the vicinity of the incident.
Spokesperson William Ntladi says no injuries have been reported.
"Scene assessment was conducted on arrival and found that the Natural Gas pipeline was leaking under tremendous pressure. The gas line belonged to Sasol company."
"Technicians from them (Sasol company) were activated to the scene, residents and everyone in the two-kilometre radius were alerted."
"No casualties recorded on the scene, the cause of the leak is undetermined and still a subject of investigations."
