Moeketsi nominated to be Tshwane City Manager
Updated | By Samkelo Maseko
Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga has nominated Moeketsi Mosola to be the new City Manager.
Msimanga briefed the media in Centurion ahead of tomorrow's council meeting, where Mosola's name would be put forward.
The Mayor says they have done their ground work and lobbied the EFF to appoint Mosola as the City Manager.
Tshwane has been without a City Manager since after the municipal elections last year when Jason Ngobeni resigned.
Msimanga says they will put it to a vote if needs be.
"Whether the name will be accepted will be tested tomorrow, but the multi-party panel believes it was the best it could do with the talent that was presented," says Msimanga.
"Democracy will need to be the winner at the end of the day, so we will subject it to a vote. If there are genuine concerns we can look into them," says Msimanga.
