Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma set to retire from Parliament

Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and People with Disabilities Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma on Friday indicated her desire to retire as MP.
"I have taken the decision to retire from being a member of the South African Parliament," the letter read.
Dlamini-Zuma announced her retirement in a letter following an invitation to attend the interview for the 2024 national list.
She has served as a member of the cabinet since 1994.
Dlamini-Zuma served in various departments in government such as national, provincial, regional, and branch levels.
In her letter, Dlamini-Zuma expressed her gratitude to the governing party.
"I am eternally grateful for making it possible for me to serve the continent as the first woman at the helm of the African Union Commission and the first
Chairperson of the commission from the Southern African Development Community."
