One-month-old baby abducted in Durban hijacking
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
A frantic search has ensued for a hijacked car in Durban - with a baby inside.
The white Toyota Yaris was taken from the City View Shopping centre - the old Game City in Durban Central.
The police's Thulani Zwane says two suspects accosted a mother at the mall - before driving off with her vehicle.
"It is alleged that the mother was walking with her two children - a one-month-old, and an eight-year old to her car in the Game City parking, when she was approached by two suspects who allegedly hijacked her of her car, and fled with the one-month-old child," says Zwane.
Zwane says the child and the vehicle are still missing.
He's urged anyone with information to contact any local SAPS for assistance.
The car's registration number is ND 576 648.
