Tshwane announces 8-hour water shutdown in Ninapark
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
The City of Tshwane will on Monday shut down the water supply in Ninapark and nearby areas for emergency repairs.
The city says it has to turn off the water supply to fix two leaking pipes at 80 Willem Cruywagen Street and 138 Berg Avenue.
The affected areas are set to be without water for eight hours.
Last month, some areas in Mamelodi, east of the city, were left without water following repair work conducted on a burst pipe, which affected the Mamelodi R3 and R4 reservoirs.
“The said repairs are estimated to last for 8 hours, from 09h00 until 17h00 and will result in a water supply interruption that will affect the following areas: Ninapark, Theresapark, Heatherdale, Heatherview, Clarina and Winterness,” said the city’s Lindela Mashigo.
“The City of Tshwane apologises profusely for the inconvenience that may be caused due to the above-mentioned repairs.”
