Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The death toll from this morning's bus crash on the M1 near Chatsworth, south of Durban, has increased to three.

The bus overturned on the M1 heading towards Pinetown - in the vicinity of the Hans Dettman Highway, near Savannah Park.
Emergency services had to use the Jaws of Life to cut some of the injured passengers from the wreckage.

Netcare911's Chris Botha says another body was recovered from underneath the bus.
"It has been quite a tragic scene. But when we lifted the bus up, we found that another person was trapped under the bus- which brings the death toll to three,"he said.
Botha says all the injured passengers have since been taken to hospital for further care:
"There was a total of three people that was in serious condition, 20 that was moderate injuries, and 40 that sustained relatively minor injuries. One of the seriously injured patients - a female - was airlifted by emergency services to hospital. All the other injured were transported to various hospitals for further care," he said.
