The company is alleging that more than R37 million went missing during Agrizzi's time as CFO.

Executor to the late Gavin Watson's estate and the mogul's nephew, Jared Watson, accuses Agrizzi of 131 counts of theft totaling at least R37.6 million.

"They were laid by me in a number of capacities namely that I am the executor of Gavin Watson's estate, as such they were laid on behalf of the company's shareholders and directors," says Watson.

Watson adds he hopes that the money will be recovered.

"I guess with criminal procedure you cant really hope for anything specifically. What we would like to see is restitution of the funds to the company."

Agrizzi gave a nine-day long testimony at the commission of inquiry into state capture at the start of the year where he exposed several politicians including former president Jacob Zuma and Minister of Environmental Affairs Nomvula Mokonyane for alleged corrupt relationships with the company.

Speaking to Jacaranda FM News, Agrizzi refuted the allegations that he stole millions from the company.

"It's very strange that at this stage and this juncture that they would see it fit to lodge a claim of R35 million against me in terms of theft.

"If it comes from the Watson's I would be very skeptical as to the veracity of the truth thereof. They're a bunch of liars."

Agrizzi adds that the charges are a ploy to divert attention from the company's own discrepancies.

"It's pathetic of them to even make an accusation such as that."
