Weekend to bring some respite in daytime load shedding
Eskom will reduce the stages of load shedding over the weekend due to anticipated lower weekend electricity demand.
The rolling blackouts will be suspended from 5 am until 4 pm on Saturday.
Thereafter, stage 2 load shedding will kick in until 5 am on Sunday, when load shedding will again be suspended until 4 pm.
The power cuts will be eased to stage 1 from 4 pm on Sunday until further notice.
