Burger King introduce burger containing ONE ingredient!

Even cheese lovers might have to ask themselves: Is there such a thing as too much cheese?

Sometimes, when you open your favourite social media app, you'll come across some crazy, innovative food trend that can have one of two effects.

You either look at the dish on your screen and think "I need to eat that" or you think "That's not for me".

Whether it's an interesting coffee flavour, like Starbucks' olive oil coffee, or a restaurant that only sells cereal, there is always something new that can be done with food.

This doesn't always mean that it should be done, though.

Social media users were recently so shocked when Burger King Thailand unveiled their new cheeseburger, many thought it was a joke.

The fast food chain made it very clear in their post, this is definitely not a joke.

Introducing 'The Real Cheeseburger':

The caption reads: “This is no joke. This is for real. The real cheeseburger is full of flavour for those who love cheese.”

The burger, which went on sale for 109 Thai baht (R86.06), is simply a bun, cut in half, and filled with 20 slices of processed American cheese.

It turns out that the burger was quite controversial as it split consumers. Some really enjoyed it, while others did admit that it might be more cheese than any one person can eat in a meal.

According to CNN, one manager was heard saying that they had to stop accepting orders for deliveries of the burger because it was so popular and they had to make sure it was available in-store.

While we might not be able to try the ultimate cheeseburger, we can at least enjoy some of the cheesy responses to the creation:
