Jada Pinkett Smith says she never wanted to marry Will Smith

In a resurfaced video clip, Jada Pinkett Smith admitted that she never wanted to marry her husband, Will Smith. The couple has been married since 1997.

On Sunday, 28 March, actor Will Smith went viral after he assaulted comedian Chris Rock on the Oscars stage after he made fun of Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Smith then repeatedly yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f-ing mouth!”

Moments later, Smith won the award for Best Actor for his role as tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams' father, Richard, in the film, 'King Richard'.

The Academy banned him for 10 years in the aftermath of the incident. 

Social media users warned that Will Smith might be at a breakpoint and some even blamed his wife Pinkett Smith. 

In July 2020, Pinkett Smith admitted that she had an affair with another man on her Facebook show, 'Red Table Talk'.

A video clip has recently resurfaced where Pinkett Smith admitted that she never wanted to marry Will Smith. 

In the clip, she recalled “crying down the freaking aisle” as she got married. She also revealed that she only got married because she was pregnant with their oldest child, Jaden.

“I really didn’t want to get married...I didn’t want a wedding either."
