Exclusive Books at Brooklyn Mall will host the launch of what's been described as the biggest political exposé to hit South Africa.

Author and veteran journalist Jacques Pauw will be in conversation with Nkepile Mabuse.

A reliable source has told Jacaranda FM News that additional generators have been arranged in the event of a power outage.

The official book launch in Hyde Park was disrupted due to a power cut on Wednesday evening.

There were claims that it was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the event.

However, Eskom has denied claims that it was behind the power cut.

Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe says City Power supplies electricity to Hyde Park.

"We generally work together with the City of Johannesburg whenever they are doing maintenance on their systems because there are certain points where their system interlinks with ours.

"But this particular area is supplied by the City of Johannesburg so they would be better placed to say what happened," Phasiwe points out.

The Johannesburg mayoral committee member of Environment and Infrastructure Services, Nico de Jaager, says the power trip was likely as a result of aged infrastructure.

"We believe the power outage was not as a result of foul play, but due to aging infrastructure," he says.

The book details the alleged tax evasion of President Jacob Zuma as well as those who are keeping the president in power and out of prison.
