Mum's fake conversation with her three-year-old backfires

Children really can knock you off your game...

Kids are notoriously known for their honesty and ability to speak without filters. And as much as we love it, there are those moments where they really catch us off guard.

For the most part, we can act like we are all put together in front of them. Perhaps this comes from our own personal memories growing up?

Trying to avoid moments that you feel may cause hurt or trauma to your kid in some way. After all, if we can do something differently to help them feel more secure, happier, fulfilled, and loved, then of course we will do it.

A mother who posted a video that indicated a true reflection of the fact that children have super hearing, admitted that her intent for the video was a fail.

She wanted to spark a fake conversation with her three-year-old daughter and post the reaction to her TikTok page.

But things didn't go as planned when her daughter blindsided her and asked her about why she was crying the day before.

Mum is genuinely surprised by what her daughter is asking her, as she initially does not remember crying in front of her.

Then she delves in more and realises that she did in fact cry during a conversation with her husband when her daughter was sleeping.

It seems the sharp-eared three-year-old heard mummy cry and wanted to know why...

As a way of avoiding any scarring or saving her child's innocence for a few more years, she makes up an excuse and things return to a light mood...

@justlivingmybethlife I was close to not posting this, so no hate please. It surprised me just how much they hear, and it’s taught me a lesson! ♥️ #kidsheareverything #childrenheareverything #carefulwhatyousay #GenshinTeleport #UnlimitedHPInk ♬ original sound - Beth
