Getting engaged is a big deal.

Not only are you and your partner deciding to spend the rest of your lives together, but the nerves and the moment can be so overwhelming, you just hope everything goes to plan.

You also have to hope the person being asked the question says yes, otherwise it can get pretty awkward.

More often than not the one popping the question will arrange for some kind of photography assistance, like a friend, family member or professional to take photos and videos of the special moment sneakily.

However, there are many ways a proposal can go wrong.

From losing the ring to freak accidents.

There is also the slight chance that the photographer in charge misses the moment completely.

TikTok user @_jennyy4 recently posted a video of her boyfriend going down on one knee and asking her to marry her.

Luckily, her boyfriend's mother was there to capture the entire moment while Jenny thought she was filming a normal TikTok video.

Hoping to get the moment on video, Jenny soon realised that her future mother-in-law had made a major mistake while filming the moment:

There seems to be no hard feelings between the two as Jenny captioned the video by saying, "she was trying her best!!"

But all is not lost.

In another video uploaded after the original, Jenny mentions that her future father-in-law was also present and recording the whole thing:

Well done to the mom who was trying her best to help make the moment as special as possible and congrats to the happy couple!
